The Kansas City Room is the product of primarily three individuals. With the Room now expanded to 6 dedicated repeaters and 5 node stations it has been very much a group effort to keep it in operation.
Jerry KCØKW
Jerry is our Fusion promoter. He is the guy out front recruiting new
Fusion users and getting information and equipment to interested
individuals. He is also one of our node stations.
Bill WAØCBW
Bill is our equipment guy. With years of Motorla experience he is our
go to guy for repeaters, duplexers, antennas and site installations.
Van KØHCV
Van is the computer and software guy. He makes sure equipment is
up to date with firmware and node stations are current on Wires-X
software. His repeater hosts the Kansas City Room and he also gives
presentations on Fusion and Wires-X.
We also have several individuals who deserve special credit. These hams volunteered to be node stations. They are:
Ted operates the node station for the Johnson County Radio Amateur Club repeater in Shawnee.
Dennis operates the node station for the Johnson County Radio Amateur Club repeater at Black & Veatch in Overland Park.
Jerry operates the node station for the Overland Park repeater.
Van owns and operates the Olathe repeater. This is where the Kansas City Room resides and is connected directly to the internet.
